A story I had written some time ago for Chakat Goldfur in his Chakat Universe, this was part 1 of what currently was a three part story. I had always intended to write part 4, but my own stories kept me busy.

I suppose you could call this story a spinoff from Transformations, Forest Tales 16-18, as it follows Terry and his chakat love interest as they go through the process of transforming Terry into a chakat. Dale's accident (pictured in Transformations) has since become a commercial application, and upon spotting a chance to be with his childhood crush in a way he had never thought possible, he jumps on the chance.

As a reminder, this is an older work of mine, but I think it still stands up all right.
