Tying in the first day of Winter with the impending holidays, I present the latest in a series of handmade holiday greeting cards (dating back to the 1990s) from my mock company Apathetic Cards ® (whose slogan is "Who cares about the very best?"). The original artwork for said card was in black and white, but I'd used my Paint.net program to add a splash of color to the imagery...
I have another anthropomorphic mammal making a likeness of itself out of snow... and a few props. This time, it's a very inventive porcupine, who adds coal to his snow critter (for the eyes, nose and buttons), a pair of tree branches for its arms, a scarf around its neck, and (for the 'finishing touch') an entire box of drinking straws (to simulate the quills). And the message inside my card reads: "Have a creative holiday!"
I hope to make more greeting cards with a similar theme of animals making replicas of themselves in the form of snow critters. You can see some of my past work at the following links:

I'd even E-mailed
Jenner of Australia, who liked it so much, he insists that I submit it to some other artist website...
...but a better idea was considering officiating a contest, in which other artists might submit similar art pieces of additional anthropomorphic critters making their own snow likenesses - using household items to add to the realism (such as an elephant child, using a vacuum cleaner hose for a trunk and large china plates for the ears of his snow critter). It's still in development, but you never know who will come up with the most unusual snow critter of all time!
