The jaw isn't something I've studied very closely and it shows. Here are some of my study images, all drawn in ballpoint and referenced from stock photos, etc.
Usually I would never use a copyrighted photo for any kind of artwork but I make an exception with throw-away practice stuff. It's technically illegal, but, in the same way that publishing fanart is technically illegal, using a photo for learning purposes and publishing the results is generally overlooked. It's not something I'd ever sell. I think it's important to know exactly where one is bending rules, though.
P.S. these were all done in ballpoint. The blue on the one was added after the fact for the purpose of placing the jaw. Drawing in pen or some other non-erasable medium helps to tighten up form and forces someone to consider angles and shapes more thoroughly than pencil or digital. It's harder, but as is so often the case, going the hard route yields more fruitful learning.

As far as I’m aware its not Illegal if its for personal use, you can paint an exact replica of a painting perfectly legally for your personal use or practise (UK).
As for fan art im reasonably sure you can’t copyright a style and certain you cant copyright an idea in UK law... thus you can for example draw art in the style of whatever all day long and that’s ok so long as you don’t say its that style or try to sell it as that style.
... But ether way very nicely done! Its nice to see people taking the time and actually showing it :3

In the US it's legal to do it for personal use, but not to publish. So I can make all kinds of paintings and drawings from copyrighted photos but as soon as I stick it on the internet, that's where the line is drawn. But most photgraphers super don't care. You can't copyright a style anywhere, that I know of.
As long as you don't use these for personal financial gain or sell them directly, it's not an issue. I guess the original photo owners could get upset since you posted these publicly, but honestly they're so different from the original source material (loose ballpoint pen) that there's really no infringement. I've seen pretty much direct, copied, digital ripoffs of art dismissed in court as being 'too different' to warrant a copyright infringement case, so these are fine.
That aside, I love dem moufs :B

I think in that case it's more of a failing of the court, than anything. Some people are incapable of seeing when something's been ripped off. They think because someone stuck some faerie wings on a photo of a wolf that it's different enough. Or possibly the artists were super big-name and the photographer a very small fish. Like, the Obama Hope poster is very different from the original photograph but there was still a law suit involved that the photographer/company (supposedly) would have won had it not settled outside of court: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barac.....Hope%22_poster
But, yeah, since I'm not selling it and it's so quick and rough and obviously practice work, nobody's going to come after me. I feel like a lot of people take that and think they have a right to use other people's work and, NOPE!

I tend not to use or enjoy anatomy tutorials. I mean, the reality is right there, out in nature, and there are so many primary document resources that I can figure it out on my own. I don't have to rely on some badly-stuffed skins sent on a clipper ship or something :P
Other than that it's just me being a contrarian. I like to figure things out by myself!
