Hiddson: Hello and welcome once again to Bandits Breakdown! Your one stop for all things Las Vegas Bandits. Brett Hiddson, along with Terrence Thursday, and Issabelle Holt at the Bandit Valley sidelines. And let us be the first to wish you happy holidays, be it Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza. Terry, It's The Las Vegas Bandits Home finale of the regular season and they want to continue the hot trend. In their way is a talented team in their own right fighting for a playoff spot, the Texas Ramblers.
Thursday: Sitting at 8 wins and 6 losses, too far back to challenge the Bandits in the standings but can still better their chances at making the playoffs with New York and Chicago facing off on Monday.
Hiddson: Once again Coach Erinia was questioned whether or not to rest his starters. He had this to say...
Erinia: Ultimately the goal is the get the win, and with quality opponents taking us on week in week out, it's up to us to make our fans and the league proud of the way we handle ourselves and handle our business.

Hiddson: And with that the starters did get the nod to play in the home game, Fan appreciation day with half-off tickets, concessions, and merchandise as well all week to give back to the fans of the Desperadoes of the desert valley. Stapler and company wanting to give the fans a show of appreciation in their own way. First quarter action here... 1st and 10 just two yards out of the red zone and Terry Paige getting the hand-off … and good blocking upfront and beats the safeties to for and no one else can catch him as he gets the touchdown. Just continuing a remarkable season.
Thursday: Yeah the best block from the center containing the middle linebacker with solid block on the second level, and Paige has shown the power and agility before and gets a nice stiff arm to beat the safety and take it the rest of the way.
Hiddson: Defense doing a great job throughout the first half as well. Forcing the Ramblers to punt after three and outs but the Ramblers defense started to get some of the same success when the Bandits ventured deep in Rambler territory not allowing them to get to the end zone from there. Chas Patterson with a busy half as he netted four field goals to extend the lead to 19-0 at the half.
Thursday: Second half action now and with the score not insurmountable, the Ramblers would get a break for hanging around. Nash Pony breaking free for a 28 yard catch that would spark their offense.
Hiddson: Same drive, 2nd and goal now, the juicy gerbil, O.J. Duvall gets the push he needed from the o-line for the touchdown, his first of the season for the Ramblers. 19-7. Then they get a field goal for 19-10. Fourth Quarter action and Ramblers inching closer and closer and strike once again this time through the air.
KLVB Radio Announcer: 2nd and 7, I formation here. Calder takes the snap, play fakes to Sierra, looking for Lewdko downfield and caught...trying to muscle away from Carson and does. *crowd boos can be heard*Touchdown Ramblers and that is 17 unanswered points.
Hiddson: That from our friends at KLVB, and the Bandits fans getting anxious as the lead dwindles away. But Stapler nods his head in accepting the latest challenge infront of him to lead his team.
KLVB Radio Announcer: 1st and 10 on the 23, Stapler drops back to pass finds no one and takes it himself... good gain and slides near the first down marker 9 yard gain... *later in the drive* 1st and 10 from the Bandit 46 yard line, Bandits in a trips right and tight end on the left, Paige in the backfield with him, Stapler playfakes to Paige, finds Stephen Harris for the the14 yard gain. *Later once more* Stapler drops back to pass finds Renato Hanna for the screen play, caught flag on the play though Hanna goes for the score and does... but we'll have to look at the penalty first.
Referee: Pass Interference Offense *boos from the crowd* Number 73 (Roberto Hays) 10 yard penalty repeat 1st down.
Hiddson: That would be a huge call that slows the offense once more, but not enough to get 3 more points on the board 22-17 now. Last chance for the Ramblers. 2nd and 5, 14 seconds left after using their last time out. Calder takes the snap looking for something to develop on the outside but Sacked by Arnie Inman! And That's the game! Ramblers couldn't make it back to the line to clock it.
Thursday: The coaches always teach you don't take a sack in those situations but Arnie Inman with the huge play to bull rush the guard to get to the quarterback. And the Fans always happy to see the defense get the play when they need it. None bigger than that.
Hiddson: And with that the Bandits take the home finale, 22-17 for their ninth straight win and a 13-2 record. Not the prettiest win but a win none the less.
Thursday: Indeed Brett, credit to the Ramblers for keeping close and making the comeback, but that defense when you need to count on them, once again find a way to close it out with them on the field. That can only add to their confidence as the post season gets upon us.
Hiddson: And with that we'll take a short break but when we return, stats for the game, pressers and interviews of your Bandits players and coaches, including how they're celebrating the holidays. And a look to the last game of the regular season, on the road against the Chicago Outlaws.
