I s'pose not. XD But the the "huh-wha?" factor is half the fun of reading crazy stories like this.

Eerie. Odd. Powerful. I liked the imagery, although I was a bit lost what the message of the story is. Maybe just; "World is a crazy place" or "War is cruel". The moral you give in the story, fight for live, not blood, is suiting as well. Anyway, I enjoyed reading this, the story is a good read, how confused and lost I might have been. Good work.

I never really try to put a distinct message or moral into a story; that's just that way the characters view things. Every literature class I've ever taken teaches me that a story means something different to every reader. I just thought something like that sounded cool and fantasy-ish. Thanks! :3

Wow, this was so tenebrous and ambiguous, which was good. It made me feel like I was trapped in a dark room, and I could only catch a glimpse of things here and there. And with those little bits of information, I had to slowly piece the environment together. And I liked how you never got a good feel for who the Mistress was. It was almost as if she was a shapeshifter. Very cool. I like stories that make me think.

That's pretty much spot-on what I intended; the Mistress is supposed to be this shapeshifting goddess who takes a different form whenever someone looks at her. Thanks! :3
