Now this chapter... has some rather impressive character development within it.. and I am impressed with that. As you're also able to develop the back stories of those present within it.
As Tahikida explains his upbringing being royalty and with a mother as a head of the Mage Society. [So the boy was a prodigy, and that's rather respectable.] You even have word about his other family members that have yet to be seen within this chapter, and that.. is nicely done. [As it shows he does have siblings and what happened to them, as well as how he does happen to miss seeing them.]
Now, aside from the ongoing story which keeps me entertained is the incorporation of a social and political hierarchy.
"..The Directorate of the Inquisitor in Tahikida’s home world was the equivalent of the judiciary system in this one. There were several different branches within the Directorate: Civilian, Military, and Mage."
This is good. As I don't think that in any story I've ever read has a political branch ever been so well explained, let alone ever introduced. This wins my respect as I am wholeheartedly amazed with that. [I'm not too into politics, but I will admit that I enjoy when others use them well. ]
That might explain what sets this apart from other stories I've come across. That Misha and Tahikida in this story are high status individuals, yet at the same time, that's an undertone and not the focus. But at the same time, it's also something that can be bought up for character and personal development.
i.e- Misha asking Tahikda how it was to be a gay fur his age- while being royalty. So part of his is asking in a personal way, and part is asking about his upbringing in a royal family as well. Blending that... shows talent.
I will honestly and foremost thank you for uploading this story. As I know there's only one chapter left for me to see, but I may not get around to reading it as doing so will mean I won't have anything else to go on when done..
So apparently this is what Harry Potter fans feel like when waiting for next installments..
