Second Officer's Personal Log, Stardate 43629.5
Following an unexplained temporal disturbance that resulted in a visual distortion resembling a starship, and Guinan's unusual contact with the bridge, a small cylindrical craft was discovered leaving the disturbance. Upon investigation, the craft was determined to be a small automated vessel similar to a shuttlecraft. A lifeform was discovered onboard, unconscious and of a species that seems almost a paradox in itself.
I am currently conducting a morphological analysis of the lifeform, who identifies herself as "Babs Bunny." The name does appear to be at least partially accurate - scans have determined that she is a female of a previously undiscovered lapine humanoid species. However, she also appears to be wearing clothing of the late 20th century, as well as an old visual correction device known as "a pair of glasses."
The most peculiar thing about this humanoid, however, is her knowledge of the Enterprise and her crew. She was able to identify most of the senior officers on sight, and reacted most curiously when I first encountered her, lunging at me with remarkable agility to grasp around my abdomen with both arms. An analysis of the reactions of my friends nearby indicates that she was giving me a "hug."
I have been steadily gaining more insights into "Babs'" behavior and thought patterns through tricorder and sensor analysis and conversation. A peculiar exchange took place during one analysis session, when she asked me if there were others like me around at the moment. When I replied that I was the only one, she asked me "Why not?" The question did cause a certain amount of curiousity on my part...I have judged the question to mean, "why are there not others like me?" Having analyzed the question, I have concluded that there is no compelling answer to the question, and as such, am compelled to attempt to rectify the situation.
(Okay, enough of the non-canonical stuff! XD A cute little idea I came up with when talking to Lilifox about her "Babs Bunny" redesign character - her personal character, I mean. I asked if she'd ever been drawn with Data...with the reply of no, I knew what I had to do. The idea formed in my head that if Data ever met Babs - or Lili, for that matter - he would probably study her out of curiousity using whatever instruments were at his disposal. I dunno if Babs would go along with it quite like this - or be hypnotized by colored lights either - but it's still a fun idea.
In case you're wondering, Data looks like he does here because, frankly, I'm not at all used to drawing humans. I still need more practice to get all the intricacies right. Nonetheless, I think he looks at least sort-of-Data-like.
Now, enjoy the picture! Heh, Babs told me to keep it clean, so I told her it wouldn't just be clean, it'd be medically sterile! XD)
