So, just about every winter we get mice. They usually get into the kitchen and hide amongs the cupboards or under the stove or (ideally) out in the back patio where they won't bother us. This one was in the kitchen. It happened tonight mom was in the kitchen with it, when it was exploring the counter. She kind of, well not freaked because she remained calm, but she did nervously try to kill it ;P So I kindly shooed her out, my sister came in trying to spot it and we found it meandering amongst the pile of junk that permanently inhabits the counter.
So, not wanting to harm the cute little bugger I snatched up a conveniently empty (and cleaned) peanut butter jar that was also lying on the counter. My sister saw it, started to move things to get it to move (I'm... not really sure what she was planning) but I took the opportunity to set the jar at a convenient spot the little bugger had popped his head out and he crawled right on in. Got the lid on and tada, he was no longer a problem and I saved him from a death in the trash or by squish or other unpleasantness. After snapping this shot as a memento I geared up and drove around the corner to the open expanse of desert near the house. I unscrewed the lid, set the jar down and he scampered off into the night, free and without (direct) threat of silly people trying to do things to him for being a mouse.
So, yah. I feel good. :3

*gives you a hug and a boobie squeeze for being so kind as not to kill the harmless little creature and being kind enough to just catch it and let it go. True it would have been easier to destroy it, but you didn't and its not so hard to simply whipe down a counter with stuff to clean up after its little romp...
I'm very sure the goddess will bless you with a little kindness in return for your own when you need it, but dont expect it.. *snugs*
heh, well, we thought of that, but, the big thing was he was cold, and wet ;nods; so we ment to take him in for the night and then release em in the morning, but when we went to release him he refused to leave the cage hehe, He's been here since, and no problems [or illnesses] have come up
