She never feels alone when the wind blows through her hair
And rustles through her favorite trees to makes them sound alive.
A breeze will always be familiar enough to keep her company
And gentle enough to keep her thoughts from being blown away.
She always feels free when the wind blows through her hair
And rustles through her favorite trees to give their shackled limbs a gentle shake.
A breeze will gust where it pleases, choosing whose company to keep
And she is like the wind, open and free and never alone.
This particular piece was something sort of special. It started as a Patreon reward from Tatiilange with mostly artistic liberty and developed into something quite a bit more personal. I didn't tell her this in the details I sent originally, but I had a commission lined up quite like this a while back that never followed through. I won't use any names, but an artist I trusted to bring this scene to life disappeared without a trace and without giving me a refund. To this day, I have no idea what happened with them, and I was discouraged from pursuing having this scene completed again by anyone else since it held a sort of emotional sting from that past experience.
And yet, here it is. Almost entirely by coincidence, she captured a scene I described over a year ago down to every major detail. In fact, the scene I originally gave her was involving my Rose on a cliff, something entirely different than what the end result happened to be. Yet I couldn't be happier! It's funny how these things work, and Tatiilange's choice to run with a bit of freedom this time helped resolve one of my more persistent "commissioner wounds".
So thank you again~
