I love the character design of this guy overall. I mean, yeah, part of it is because he's a hyena and I like hyenas, but I also love the down-to-earth design. He's not some epic dragon-wolf hybrid with techno colors and strange powers, but just some guy. It's refreshing to see that in the furry fandom.

Yeah, I'm really not into the whole epic thing. I mean, sometimes I like dragons and gryphons and whatnot as beasts, but I got all of the epic character crap out of the way back in high school. Even in a fantasy setting, I prefer to keep things low key.

Gryphons and dragons are fun to draw, but that's about it.

Lol... I think everyone went through an "epic character" phase in high school. I know I did.
Even my D&D characters aren't really that epic. I personally think they're more fun that way.

I think my last D&D character could have been summed up with "He's a guy with a sword". He was kind of the opposite of epic.

Most of my D&D characters are really eccentric or neurotic.

One was a flaming gay Dragonborn who really, REALLY liked dwarves.

Eccentric and neurotic can be a lot of fun... sadly, most of the people I've played with don't seem to be able to do that and yet still be playing a functional person. That is, their eccentric/neurotic behavior is overwhelming to the point that it's amazing that they're not shutins, because they don't even seem like they could manage a part time job, let alone being adventurers. I had three people in a row try to play CN Fire Mages and it always resulted in our Cleric getting set on fire and an out of character fight. Good times. o_o
Dragonborn character sounds awesome. Do you draw your D&D characters?
Also, which version do you play? I'm a 3.5 man myself.

That just sort of annoys me in general when people think insane characters mean characters just doing random crap or neurotic characters meaning that neurosis takes over their entire life.

3.5. We tried a little 4.0, but it doesn't work out. I heard 4.0 is basically modeled to be more like WoW (which I haven't played).

Very nice, I especially like Grimmont. I do like the other one as well, but I'm very picky about my illithids. Heh.
And yeah, I've heard that as well. My brother described character creation like this: Imagine you're buying a car and go in to pick out the one you like.
If it's a 3.5 car, you pick out everything. The engine, transmission, coup or sedan, what kind of seats, how big the wheels are, the suspension, and so on. Extra cup holders, the works.
In 4th, well, they're all the same car, but you get to pick the colour. Neat! Only not.

The one thing that did sound appealing about 4th is that I guess there's some cool monsters styled especially to be Bosses. And I loves me a good Boss fight, but that's the only thing that sounded all that interesting.
