I came down with a cold and hence didn't go to work today. Instead I drew a picture of my colleague's dog. I think he is a Bassett Hound, but I'm not certain. He could be a Bassett cross as well. Either way, I like the way the picture came out.

Man's best friend. Look at those friendly eyes! Beautiful. I'm not even a dog person myself, but your picture is really great. Can't really say nothing more, because I know nothing about drawing. But yeah, nice picture.

Thanks! I'll be curious to hear what his owner thinks about it tomorrow. But you are correct in saying that Bassett's are scent dogs and hence very good trackers. Not sure how all the extra skin helps... I like drawing eyes. Finally something I can do with confidence! ^_^
