For a test this is really well done. The shading and highlights are showing up superbly.

Beautiful. Your skill in drawing horses is just exceptional. Very good picture, it's not really that detailed but you are able to show some details with so subtle lines, the head is especially great. Great work.

Thanks! This one is done with minimal line art, basically I just drew the outline with a pencil and then swapped to a white watercolour pencil. I used very little else, and deliberately tried to make it look detailed without it being so. There's no way I'd achieve with a colour pencil the same level of detail as I do with my 0.3mm pencil. The real challenge is finding ways around that, and I'm certainly learning lots with every picture. I would even go as far as saying that black, or generally coloured, paper lets me get away with a lot more than white does. So just have to keep on drawing on white too, so I don't get too lazy.

But yeah, I should clearly be ill more often, as I've been very inspired today. ^_^

Laughed to your reply. "I should clearly be ill more often [...]" Do not wish for that, it might come true. But yeah, holidays and others seem to be the most creative times to me too.

I've been very uncreative, spent too much time with my fiance I guess. But now it's back to work and drawing. ^_^

And she did it again. I have been waiting a very long time until I finally am able to look at a new horse picture made by you.

It is very nice on the black paper. You really should do that more often. A really impressive picture results in your first try so that is a clear sign....you have to do more work like this one.

Hey! I was thinking about you earlier today as I was trying to decide what to draw next. (Which was nothing, as I got distracted by my Christmas presents...) I was so tired all December that I just lost all will to draw and live. I feel better now, although the holidays were spent doing stuff with Lutien. Now he is back working, I have a chance to dedicate more time for my art. More horses to follow, I promise. And more horses from your gallery, when I can steal some time on the computer. ^_^

There was a flying carp in the book I'm reading. It swallowed a war drone. The drone got bored of waiting to be passed (It would have violated conservation laws if it had blasted its way out, you see) and made it fly to where it had to go. X3

The war drone could fly via a hover engine, just to clarify |3

It's called "The Skinner" by Neal Asher. A friend recommended it to me, it's his favourite series of books and gawd, I can see why. It's a very original universe with such a good story, and great characters.
