[Old Poem] Layers of the Subconscious
For the text only:
Layers of the Subconscious
~Ryan Cook
>> Mirroring and shaping within our dreams to reality,
A crystallization of our mind reflects our bind.
When the conscious refracts what is left behind,
I will not forget the half-remembered dream set inside my mortality.
In my head, in my head, I rest within my bed.
For what is not seen within a short time, means not reality,
Yet for what comes about upon our spirituality,
A correlating infrastructure of our brain networks inside out realities in the head.
Will I hold on to such incomplete fragments of unknown meanings?
Or will I wake up into the seas of the physical realm that affects our well-being?
Will I dive into the dreams that create and become and effect of our mental meaning?
Or must I swim up the shores from an even less remembered dream inside a dream alive?
Even with what we have visualized in a matter of seconds,
Time foes on for a long time in our mind with what we cannot control inside for reality's seconds
If only we were to justify what our psychological fantasies are from realities,
It's only a matter of time until we realize upon a real purpose without our true mentalities
The work was for a major homework assignment at the time in AP Literature & Composition class. :) Got an A on it.
This was loosely inspired by some of the themes and concepts of Christopher Nolan's Inception (2010 film).
