Strangely he was a reservist and a pediatric Dentist in Civilian life.

Oh dear. I think the good doctor probably should work on his bedside manner a bit. On the other hand, it's better than the one time I got injured on the job and was basically accused, by the doctor, of being a liar and a cheat.

Umm...I'm not sure that you are actually required to go to the doctor which they provide (or insist on)...

Workers comp won't pay doctors that aren't 'certified' and using a non workers comp doc negates the claim.


You have NO idea how pissed I was to be discharged from the ER with some superficial stitches and a prescription for pain meds after having my arm pulled into a conveyor and severing my bicep. I wasn't seen and admitted for surgery untill 3 days afterwards!!!!

The story still floating around work nearly 11 years later is that I almost died....... Fuckin asshats!

My experience with workers comp is that the doctor is the choice of the insurance company that the job uses and you to do a drug screening before you can see the doc.

Yeah i hate going to the clinic my job sends me to for on the job injury. Everything is just ran through the motions and they dont actually listen to anything you try to tell em.

I've only had one employer that had an MD on site, and he was actually excellent; I wished he was my regular GP. Now, the last ER quack I encountered -- he has a great future in tech support or something else where he can be useless and harmless.

Its accurate Sign about six or seven forms about the workplace accident then a few at the doctors office then get treated then get Lectured and sent back to work even if your in excruciating pain because comp says so. Then aggrevate said injury more then more paper work then the bills.

Oh, how I understand. Years ago I requested an orthoptic visit, the workplace doctor said that I had no probems "because you can see rather good with your glasses on". Wow. How many years you have to study to become THAT good?
