Oh look a bandwagon! Time to jump on it!!

I suppose now's the bit where I give my overall thoughts on my artistic progression throughout the year...

Well honestly, mixed wold probably be the best word..

On one hand, I'm rather satisfied with how my pencil work and character design has improved, thanks to College I feel like my characters are more alive and interesting to look at, as long as I keep on top of that I can only go up from here.
The problem has been my digital colouring, which is the lion share of my gallery, you see when I sketch something and I want to post it, nine times out of ten I'll do it up in SAI, and while I'm not saying I haven't improved, which I definitely have. I don't feel like I've improved fast enough. I've been doing digital colouring for nearly five years but it almost seems like I've only been at it for a couple, at least it does to me... Looking back it wasn't right till near the end of the year where I generated something I feel like look at least sort of up to my traditional art level out of SAI..

2015 wasn't the best year for me, not just artistically, but personally, I've battled with depression, money, and motivation, and while things seemed to have cooled off for now, I can't say for sure if things will stay steady. Commissions are slow, and so far I have a whopping zero patrons on patreon. There's been many times where I wanted to give up, but I haven't, and I son't intend to, despite the melancholic feeling of this post I promise you one thing..

I WON'T STOP

I'll keep on artistically pressing forward no matter the obstacle or problem, because this is my life. Art is my life, it's not just a hobby, it's my passion, it's what I want to dedicate my time to. I want to create and improve. Express my joy and sadness, my rage and fear.

Thank you guys for sticking around with me throughout this roller coaster of a year, it's funny looking back at some of these, many of them feel like I just drew them yesterday, but so many of them feel so far away and old despite being less than a year old, funny how sometimes time feels so fast, and other times it feels so slow... I remember stopping Badvibe to revamp it and make it better and that feels so long ago, but it only happened a few months ago, but when I drew up that body comparison it feels like just yesterday.

With all of that out of the way... GOALS FOR ART IN 2016:
Improve digital art
of course get better with my traditional work
expand my artistic horizons, try some new things outside of furry and fan art
MORE PIXEL ART! I KEEP MEANING TO DO THIS BUT I NEVER DO!!
Get the word out on my art more, get more people to commission and maybe become patrons

Life is a canvas. Blank and meaningless at first, until someone turns it into a beautiful piece of art, some people will have a harder time, but in the end if they try at it, they'll get it right.
