Chiptune - TMNT: Tournament Fighters (MD/Gen) - Sisyphus
This song may be the biggest reason I remember Sisyphus at all - he was an original character designed for this game, and never appeared in any other TMNT work.
Done in FamiTracker using the Konami VRC6 chipset. I totally went all out with the percussion. The percussion is definitely the centerpiece of this song, and I wanted to make sure it was as complete as I could get it. There are six DPCM samples, but I also appropriated the noise channel, the triangle wave channel and part of a square wave channel for additional percussion.

Well, characters in those games weren't just from the 1987 TV series. They were also from the Mirage TMNT comics (like Karai, the Triceraton and the brunette April) or the Archie TMNT comics (like Hothead, Ray Fillet, Wingnut and Armaggon). Even Aska was originally Mitsu, but they renamed her after the third movie did so poorly. But Sisyphus was indeed original to the MD/Gen version of the game and appeared nowhere else.
Yeah, well I didn't even know about the Mirage comics back then. Only comic I ever knew about as a kid was an adaption of the first season of the cartoon series all bundled into a single book. Came with an audio cassette that read through the whole thing, which I listened to all the time. I believe I did have a picture book however that had Ray in it, so I knew him from at least that, but even that I just assumed to be an adaption of an episode I never saw since every other book I had was either that, or a movie adaption.
