One of the virtues of being a roko is making sacrifices. When there is a shortage of space in a town--and this can happen often--strangers have to share sleeping space, and often there's no room left for anything else. It's not that they mind. Sometimes you're surrounded on three sides by strangers, but every one of them in another warm body on a cold night, and tonight it's going to get very cold, and you'll be thankful that those you're with need to share body heat as much as you do.

Except those darn reptiles! Taking and not giving any back, right? Haha. :}===<
I know there aren't any in the piece, just sayin'.
Very nice, cozy and... pleasant-in-the-face-of-adversity-ish! Good work.

That community gives off a feeling of closeness, so not quite strangers, plus that's no real problem as long as one remembers the "tuck your tail between yer legs" rule

I know your focus was a group of furs riding out a storm, but looking at that circled group around a board with nondescriminate figures on it reminds me of D&D nights at my friends' house when we'd all start losing steam for the game. Very good work. I thoroughly enjoy it.
