Hiddson: Hello and welcome once again to Bandits Breakdown! Your one stop shop for all things Las Vegas Bandits. Brett Hiddson along with Terrence Thursday, and Issabelle Holt will join us from the stadium. Chicago Outlaws host the Las Vegas Bandits setting up to be a great playoff preview, The Bandits looking to close out the regular season with a huge win and a sweep of the Outlaws.
Thursday: That's right, Brett. Meanwhile the Outlaws, with a huge win over the Titans last week are now looking to be the #2 seed in the United Conference for the playoffs if they can best our Bandits today. Las Vegas already clinched the #1 seed but wouldn't mind the additional bragging rights of sweeping the regular season series while keeping this run going.
Hiddson: Lets find out who wanted this more!

Hiddson: And in one of the crazier first quarters you'll ever see. Starts with Sylvester Stapler trying to scramble away, getting a yard but loses the football, and the fumble recovery goes to Chicago. Two Plays later... Seals looking for Tremblay on the pass... Picked Off By Kelley Rowe! And if that wasn't topped by that. Stapler... Looking for R.V.A. for a big play off the turnover, and he gets picked off by “Say it ain't so” Joe Jackson! 3 turnovers in 4 plays!
Thursday: Sloppy offense or masterful defense, you decide fans.
Hiddson: This time the Outlaws would take advantage. Tremblay here finding an opening and powering his way through for the touchdown, adding to a great rookie campaign for the Outlaws, Terry.
Thursday: Yeah getting the better of Kelley Rowe here as he gets a well timed stiff arm to shed the tackle and the safeties couldn't gang tackle him down in time before reaching pay dirt.
Hiddson: Second quarter action, and both teams add field goals... The Outlaws looking to get a good drive started but, 2nd and 16 after a sack by Justin Brown, and Kelly Rowe gets back at Tremblay forcing and recovering the fumble!
Thursday: Kelley Rowe proving why she's one of the leaders of the defense, as she gets a good jump on the snap count and is there to take down Tremblay before he could get his shoulders lowered, punching the ball free as she makes the tackle and emerging from the pileup with the ball!
Hiddson: Great field position and the Bandits take advantage with Alex Smith slipping free for the touchdown run. Later in the quarter, The Bandits turnover woes continue with another interception.. Joe Jackson again picks off Stapler but this time he gets Harris and Stapler to miss and returns the pick for the touchdown. 10-17 in favor of the Outlaws at the end of the first half. Bandits would add a field goal in the Third quarter. But scary moment here, Ricardo McLeod suffers a stress fracture in his left foot and he would and is out for potentially the rest of the season and post season.
Thursday: Big loss for the Bandits, but Justin Hartman has been pretty reliable before in his absence.
Hiddson: Fourth Quarter now and the Outlaws add another field goal. Can the Bandits lead a rally? Not this drive thanks to Quincy Doss getting Stapler another interception. This one would lead to another field goal. the Bandits would have to get some score here. And Stapler would lead a long drive … Not very good clock management here as it takes them 8 minutes to get downfield and score the needed touchdown, Stephen Harris hauling in the TD grab here.
Thursday: Tall task for the defense to get a three and out but they pull it off. But not much time left for them, Brett.
Hiddson: Last chance for the Bandits, Stapler completes the pass to Harris... one fur the beat and he couldn't do it! Joe Jackson wanting it more and “Say it ain't so Joe” pulls off the heroics to clinch the #2 seed in the conference. 23-20 Outlaws win. Bandits 9 game win streak snapped. But they still put up a good fight and a great season.
Thursday: Yeah, credit to the Outlaws, the Bandits had trouble trying to handle Joe Jackson's coverage and it's only fitting that the all pro corner made the big plays to earn his team the #2 seed.
Hiddson: And we have word from Issabelle that she's got a hold of Sylvester Stapler for his reaction to the loss.
Holt: Thanks, Brett. Sylvester... three turnovers and a tough loss, you're response.
Stapler: Not too pleased, Issy. But we wanted them to earn that spot, and sure enough they did. I'll have some time to game plan against Joe Jack next time we take them on. Not all bad though. As much as I hate losing, I'd rather lose before the postseason than during it. Gives us plenty of things to adjust and clean up so we can make our fans proud and go deep in the postseason. And we will be ready for these playoffs.
Holt: Thanks Sylvester.
Stapler: No problem, keep the faith Bandit Nation!
Holt: Back to you Brett.
Hiddson: Sound words from quarterback Sylvester Stapler. Time for us to take a break but when we return, the playoff picture finally crystallizes and the Bandits get their shot at the Furry bowl with home field right here in Las Vegas. We'll take a look at the potential opposition for them and look to see analyze who of your Bandits have the inside track to the end of season awards, right here on Bandits Breakdown!
