Gah, my scanner totally hates these watercolour pictures. The sky is not all weird like that, in reality it's one nearly uniform colour. And a lot of the white highlites aren't showing up here. The shading is a bit smoother too.
It's frustrating. My watercolour pictures look better than my all pencil ones did but also scan much worse. Gah. Can't win. xD The water looks better on the original image too.
But, all in all, not too unhappy with this. Not thrilled either, but hey, it was just for practice. I asked
bluefiredragonz to do a trade with me basically to force me to attempt a better background. (Well, that, and 'cause I like her artz 83 ) It worked, even if the background only came out mediocre and the scanner raped her like you wouldn't believe. xD
I hope it's still okay though. :P I went for something a little sadder and colder than my usual stuff... that's just what popped into my head. Hope you don't mind.
Anyway, everyone, lemme know what ya think!

The only part of this that bothers me is the curve of her back and that arm on her knee. o___0 I dunno. Arm's too long maybe? And the purple dress makes her rather shapeless.
Beyond that though, I like it! <3 it came out great, even with the crappy scan. I totally need to rock out on my half for you. xD;

this is absolutely wonderful and i'm sure it's much better then the scanner did it justice for.
* wonderful* you gave me an idea i want to draw a monkish or i dunno something like this now i think it'd be fun you know with the bandages and loose but semi warm robe and the windbound hair haha thanks for deh idea Ru. if i draws i will lets you know.
