Well I've been playing BioShock recently and it was AWESOMENESS IN A CAN.
So
southchillreptile had been playing as well. We got to talking about it and wondered about different more 'unique' types of plasmids.

I thought considering that Gadget gains energy (and weight if used in excess) from electricity. Why not use my mad splicer skills and have some fun.

she can feed off of the energy used to produce positive emotions such as love, especially if said emotions are directed towards her. It works sorta like his ability to feed off of electricity, only in her case it's emotions. Hatred and anger tend to starve her if it's directed at her.
yup. A hug at least three times a day keeps her healthy. Any more than that and she gets very fat very fast. ^.=.^ As in, almost a ton a week if you hug her once every hour for the full 12 hours you're awake, but it'd have to be a hug just saturated with love for it to have much effect.
I would like your idea to be a little bit changed. Instead of the shocking that shocks other lifeforms, How about a fattening type splicing attack that if the caster hits the target, the target will get fatter depening on the proprotion of how much you inject that fattening stuff to the target. Your welcome for my advice.
