You want to stop the fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq? Create jobs. The vast majority of fighters are simply fighting because it is paying work. The term "Ten Dollar Taliban" is very telling.

You cant create jobs in a society ruined by religious fanatics. A person would lose everything. That part of the world has fights for equality that we have fought and beaten decades ago.

but not all Muslims are religious fanatics a few days ago a bus full of both Christians and Muslims were pulled over in a city in Africa, The are was known for extremist activity. The bus they were riding on was Pulled over by exterminate, who demanded all the Christians get off so they can be slaughtered, the Muslims refused let the extremists have their way and boldly stated "You want them you will have to kill us all." the gun men sadly took the life of a man as he ran. however the Muslims did their best to protect the Christians. even going as far as women taking off their head wraps and putting it on christian women in hopes it would fool the gunmen. but we already have a screening process in place, we've had one for decades. yes people slip trough the cracks time to time. but sadly every process has a crack or two often times to due to miscommunication. as for Sharia law The constitutions prevents church and state so Sharia law wouldn't fly here. And many Muslims in congress are against sharia law. But sadly we Christians also have such problems there is a sect of ours that Kirk Cameron belongs to that feels we should throw away the Constitution and instated biblical law. And allow such stonings and even allow slavery to be legal.

Let me ask you what support is being given to those who are pushing reformation in the Middle East? These societies are disintegrating under the weight of their own tribal rules. If they can't change those rules even in the face of their own ruin why should it be allowed to come here?

Well sadly things are very complicated in the middle east and many of those fleeing want to change things for the better, but are unable to due to the threat of Sharia law. They've just been beaten down to much by the Extremists and the regimes in the area that they are too scared to do anything anymore, because speaking out is a death sentence. Be they the governments that are oppressing them or the extremists that are forcing them to act as human shields, slaves, or soldiers. But the whole nuke the region and let god sort them isn't the answer. The best way to remove Sharia law is by allowing the refugees see a different way of doing things and giving them ways to earn an honest living. because sad to say many are joining terrorist groups because they think it is the best way to change things, or in many cases are criminals who want to create a new world order where they are free to do as they please, and hide behind religion and using it as the scapegoat for doing awful things to people they feel deviate from the norm. As for the rules we as humans have one common rule as do all animals adapt or die. People can adapt to new things quickly and a new way of life. Many Muslims whom have come here legally and haven't harmed anyone have proved that. Personally I say give them a chance before passing judgement.

Anyone who goes on about "needing more screening" is either misinformed or lying. The refugee system not only involves a massive amount of screening, (it takes 18-24 months to go from a front-line camp to resettlement), but it sucks as a pathway to sneak into a country. Why go through a system that, even if you beat it, takes well over a year and you can't be certain where you will end up, if anywhere[1] beyond a camp just over the border from where you started? Instead you can go for a tourist visa, which has a fraction of the screening and gets you exactly where you want to go within a couple months.

I did a bit of research and supposedly only 4 got death sentences, but I am hearing that apparently those 4 got their sentences commuted, including the man who was selling the charms who accused her of burning the damn book and being an American.

Thats another thing that bothers me. They did not just kill her for burning their stupid fucking book, but also for 'being sent by Americans'. This is the country we had to save not once but twice. Why are we bothering to protect these people?

Religious extremism sadly isn't stopped by national or cultural borders. You think you live in an enlightened time and then things like this happen.

What I want is a united cry for secular societies. I think at this point it is a must. Also without this I cannot endorse the idea of people from these areas coming into western areas.

I agree That we cant change other people's minds which is why we need to put in conditions about entry. However we do still need to speak out.

There is a limit to pride being a part of your identity or more than likely ego. Of course I am thoroughly a mutt being several branches of European decent as well as being part American Indian. So "white" seems to be a bland term unlike saying you're "German" or "Irish". What is my concern is the breakdown of the family unit which is the greatest source of strength in any society. That children are being raised by stupid parents who are more concerned with preserving their ego after their death than passing knowledge and strength to their children.

You'd think that the places on earth that have been inhabited the longest and from whence civilization first sprang from would be the places that are the most civilized, but it seems it's the opposite. it took the Romans centuries to climb to their highest point, but because of corruption and greed, they were destroyed and the world was sent back to days of barbarity - by Barbarians. Like the Thugee, they need to be wiped out.

Everyone behaves the way they do for a reason. In order for people to make informed decisions about how to act, they need to be educated, because those who are not educated are easily led and caught up in mob mentalities such as the one described. Though in all honestly, we already have people killing in the name of Donald Trump, so I can't say that what is happening here is any different than what we see happening over there.
