Hahaha I love horror movies so much even though sometimes if they're too gorey I get scared ;w;
Nightmare on Elm street is one of my faves though even though it's honestly not that bad on any level haha.
I only really ENJOY horror movies if there is characters I connect with and love, because otherwise I'm just rooting for everyone to die hahaha.
Thank you very very much! <3

I totally get what you mean about needing characters that you care about in horror films. Even though I'm a MAJOR gorehound whose collection consists hugely of exploitation/grindhouse horror and slasher films(including 25 films that were on the UK's infamous VIDEO NASTIES list), I still believe that if you don't have at least a few decently likable characters, the gore and terror would lose it's bite.
don't get me wrong, it's always great seeing despicable characters get butchered in horror films (like the cocaine fueled psychopath in Cannibal Ferox, or the homophobic detective in Let Sleeping Corpses lie), but in order to be effective at really shocking and scaring people, likable characters are a must.
