2015 Summary of Art (kind of a mini vent in desc)
Decided to do this meme since I keep seeing it all over lol.
Imma be real with you guys, but 2015 was honestly a pretty awful year for me. It all pretty much when downhill when I broke my right arm (which is my drawing arm) around late January and I couldnt draw properly for months. And considering that it was my dominant hand which I needed to use to pretty much do..anything, I lost all confidence in myself. I felt completely useless, missed out on a lot of opportunities, became distant, lost friends and I spiraled into the worst depression I've ever had. Even though its been almost a year since I had the accident, I can still feel the effects if i strain my elbow too much, as well as the effects of the depression.
Art wise, I feel my art just kinda stagnated this year. I dont think I really got better or worse. Just.. nothing really changed? I did get my Cintiq this year though, but other than that nothing really life changing happened (i mean something good, not like my arm breaking |D) Tho subject wise, I think I drew more humans and anthros this year but in turn i almost forgot how to draw ferals lol, and I also became less shameful of my love for yaoi pff
One thing I did notice though throughout the year is that I seemed to do more 'self-care', specially after my accident. I focused more on my personal/original work this year than any other year and even got a comic going. (even though i dont really post it here) Usually the work I do for others always vastly outnumbers the work I do for myself, but now its kinda 50/50. Even though the praise i got on my artwork for others made me happy, I just found it more rewarding when i got praise and recognition for my own work (dont get me wrong, I still love drawing for people) but in the long run I do want people to recognize me for the artwork I produce on my own rather than just constantly taking commissions n such, which is one of the big reasons why I opened my Patreon this year as well. So for those of you who support me on there I cant even begin to express my gratitude ;_; So I guess thats one good thing I can take from this year :'D
I'll just hope 2016 will be better and wont screw me over like this year did |D

Stagnation in a way is still better than regression, and even if you look back to your early years your art has still improved greatly since. Here is to hoping that your roller coaster year levels off and improves in 2016. I have also like the more self at, CreamPuffs is just a gag-reel so I say that sort of thing is also an improvement so home to see more too.
Oh wow.. sorry to hear that you had a rough start to the past year with your injury. I've only been following you for a few months but everything I have seen you done has truly been amazing. I'm so glad that I've been able to get a couple of my own pieces from you, truly some of the best art I have and will continue to support your Patreon (til I get broke at least)to see you grow and improve
