Here we go!)
################################################################################
On the three-thousand-two-hundred-eighty-fith day of his life, the american government decided that having no friends, neglective parents, and few people who really cared about him made semi the perfect canadate for unwilling, long-term, invasive radiation experiments. The CIA gave his parents a lump sum of cash for his cherished "volunteering" and he was shipped out the very next day. During the four years he was experimented on, he wasn't allowed to eat anything except the small portion they gave him with his daily injection of protactiniom- an incredibly potent radioactive material that is nearly impossible to collect. As a result, semi became terribly skinny, and took to stealing edible waste from other experiments right out of the bin. Some of these scraps were so unbearably pungent that semi no longer felt the emotion of disgust!
Now, let's discuss the effects of radiation.
First, about one week into the experiment, he became permanently sterile, and all his fur fell out. Most off it wouldn't ever come back, but a mane-like head of hair, some thick fluff on his legs and tail, and eventually a goatee grew back after he was finally released.
On the second week his skin became flaky, and by the third week the top layer of derma had completely peeled off. Over the rest of the four years of experimentation , the radiation only affected his his brain, keeping him with the mental ability of a ten year old, ruining his ability with words, and giving him a tendency to ramble on or completly forget what he had been trying to say.
Upon his release, he gained back all the weight he had lost, and then some. He discovered that his parents had used the money the CIA gave them to go on a permanent vacation to the Hawaiian islands, leaving semi homeless and (legally) an orphan. Luckily for him, his cousin once removed lived nearby, and to this day provides him with a home, and to her he is eternally grateful.
