Info:
A mammal type critter. These pixie like cat-ferrets are mischievous in nature and love to play. They take hide in fields and forests.
They are capable of gliding and floating through the air gracefully with their wings, and even producing a trail of sparkling dust when they fly.
The glitter dust found on them is due to the magical charges stored in them from flowering plants, and sometimes other glowing subjects. These ‘pixie-dust’ is what makes them fly for long duration.
Body Types:
Sylph:
Sylphs as their name states are the spirits of the skies. They will stay in the air for most of their time, and able to reach to the skies unlike most of the Standard and Fairy types.
However on land they are reletively clumsy due to their long bodies, and will take time for them to pick up speed to fly once more.
There has been legends of a Sylph Papillix so powerful that they were able to generate a powerful gust of wind just from passing by.
Fairy:
The smallest of the types. These rambunctious Papillix can be seen hopping, and dashing around the fields continuously with their high endurance.
It doesn't take much for them to lift off from the ground due to their small bodies.
Behavior:
Papillix are playful, fun-loving and naturally curious of their surroundings. They would often get up into mischief and poking their nose into any situation they happen to come by.
Very sociable, they form a community of their own compromising mostly of friends and partners. It is known that they have a polygamous relationships, but it is not rare to see a pair partnered for life.
These pixie-ferrets enjoy playing. They can be seen rough housing with other Papillix in the community tumbling both on land and air, and grooming one another to look their best.
They are not intimidated by most things due to their inquisitiveness but when threatened they will haunch their back, bare their fangs and hiss while they collect a cloud of their own dust to prepare for an escape.
The Papillix diet consists of largely fruit and nectar due to their need of high sugar based items to keep them active, happy and afloat.
Their teeth generally is used for nibbling on fruit and play biting with companions rather than inflicting pain. There has been cases of Papillix 'drinking' blood from a host, but it is highly frowned on Papillix society, and not very beneficial.
Vocally they are fairly quiet, only giving out shrills, chirps and squeaks when they are excited.
Diet:
Plants; Flowers, Fruits and Nectar.
