ugh dam college book stores really play a monopoly the know that are really the only place you can buy the items from in dire time of need so the charge you a arm and leg. THEY ARE EVIL!!

When I first went to college, I couldn't believe the prices of the books. $35 for a calculus book may seem like much, but in 1978 that was quite a chunk of change. More than twice that in 1992 when I finally went back to complete my degree, but nothing over the $100 level yet. I shudder to think what they cost nowadays...

My record was $130 if I remember for one book, probably in 1996 or so. I bet the same book is more like $180 now.

You get a little satisfaction when you sell 'em back. And depending on what you go in for, sometimes a book is good for a series of classes. When I took physics, the text book was good for three of the 4 physics classes I had to take, so I saved a little.
