She is an earth pony gemcrafter, she takes raw magical crystals and gems and crafts them into focus for use of magical and non-magical ponies alike! In the pony world anything that looks like tech is usually powered by some magical source. Even a unicorn pony can augment their power by use of a magic gems fashioned into a piece of jewelry or staff!

Hey, thats similar to my Lucky with charms. I like Crystal even more. She mines for these ores herself or get commissioned to turn them into useful magical sources?
