I may just scrap the original brown and cream colour scheme. :) I really, really like this screamer of a combo. :P I think "Grayver" works well as a name- will folks kindly let me know if that name has been taken, so I can change it if necessary?
Just some scrappy suit ideas to take a break from a commission that's giving me grey hairs. :D

at least, until I'm told otherwise. Heh.

Further Confusion is gonna be my first fur-con... I've been to over thirty SF Cons, but never a furry one- I'm new to the fandom. If I can get to Califur, that would be sweet- but it'll probably be during the time of my honey-moon- I'll be getting married around then. And yes, he's in the fandom, too.
I say keep 'em, too! *grins* They suit me more than the "natural" shades, though I may make another head in those, just 'cuz. I'm not sure how a person establishes a character other than just posting it for folks to see and making sure to lay claim on it. Grayver it is. I like the alliteration, anyway: Grayver Gryphon. Maybe even Grayver Bright-tail, just 'cuz it's so 'toony.
Working on a turtle idea, next. A turtle fursona would be so cool... U Guay was my favourite character in Kung Fu Panda...

lol now a turtle I've never seen! I like Grayver Bright-tail, I like to think that 'mythical' creatures would have last names like that. I call my cat Fluffy-tail Puffy-chest, when he come in from the cold his tail is all puffed out and his fluffy chest always makes him look like he's trying to puff it out to look all tough.
*grins* It sounds like a fantasy-mediaval "Toon" name... Bright-tail it may remain! I give my cats some pretty strange names, too: my little grey, tuxedo-marked lady is named Figitas Diva. The two litter-mates I have (unrelated to Diva) are called the Furr Brothers- Squee Soup (a grey and white blotch-pattern) and Eats Buggz (orange and white blotch)... There's a little story behind each of their names...
lol oh god i love that! Eats Buggz, my orange tabby is about that useful with the killing, he's my headache... my husband's lil monster. My grey and white is amazing, she's brought me countless mice and birds. I call her baby boo a lot but when she's got that look in her eye and strut'in her stuff she's Sheba my warrior queen! I was never able to change her name from what her foster mommy called her, but it is kind of hard to yell at a cat named Buttons lol can't stay mad long XD
I can imagine it would be! *chuckle* I can't see myself being able to yell at anythign named buttons... O_O It just seem cruel.
Diva got her name because she took over as soon as she moved in- a "queen" if ever there was one. The "figitas" has to do with her being unable to stay still for very long- that cat is hyper-active. She'll hunt... cigarette wrappers, bits of foil, paper- anything crinkly or shiny and she's on it. All proud, too, when she's bringing it in: strutting around, head and tail high. It's hilarious. Though she looked like a rich matron wearing a stole when she brought a young squirrel home one day... which she proceeded to batter senseless in my bath-tub.
Dunno what it is about the tub, all of the cats like to bring their prey there, probably 'cuz they're trapped by the high walls. Never say a cat is stupid.
Squee Soup- he's a weird one. I call him the amazing velcro kitty because he will climb anything, including upright things like door-frames. Anyone who sez a cat doesn't have a sense of humour never lived with one... His voice refused to change from it's kitten-mew for the longest time (that and I'm a fan of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, by Jonan Vasquez), so he earned Squee. The "soup" part he owes to the fact I kept finding him curled up in a little kitten-ball in the stock-pot I used for dying fabric...
Eats Buggz (or "you prick!" when he pees on things- he's got issues, that one) got his when I heard this odd scrabbling coming from my bathroom. I checked it out and he was in the tub, chasing spiders. Already had one in his mouth and had gotten distracted by a second (that year was known as Invasion of the Wolf Spiders)... He was mouthing the first, the second would move, he'd drop the one in his mouth and go for the 'live' one. Reprieved spider would then try to escape as Buggz was noshing the new victim, but then that one lost interest (it'd stopped moving, you see), and he'd notice the first spider trying to get away... Repeat until dead. He eventually ate them both...
It's gotta be something about my house- my cats always develop these crazy and fun personalities...

lol no I think cats have more personality than dogs do. I saw a program on tv once that said that cats became 'crazy' after their 'domestication'. I'm not sure it's true, I think they're just bored. Buttons is a fairly standard personality, though I've never seen a cat so patient around a 1 year old boy who liked to pull fur. She never once so much as smacked him for it. She's just an all around friendly lovable cat.... as long as you're a female. For some reason males of any species spook her.
Angel on the other hand, I've got stories! I've tried to convince my husband to change his name, Angel is no longer so angel like. I've never had a cat that made me so... frustrated. Both of my cats like to watch me in the bathroom for some reason, I used to call Buttons my lifeguard. They like to wait till you're just about done on the toilet before they jump into your lap lol. Angel jumped into my lap and i pushed him off, the second i stood up o.O there was a cat in my pants. I couldn't be mad at him, he looked so lost. He also likes the roof for some reason, he can get up there but tends to forget how to get back down.
lol I could talk about them all day. I think I talk about my cats as much as my sister talks about her kids!

Cats are our kids... *giggle* Diva does the pants thing, too- all three like to "make sure of my safety" while I'm on the John... At least, she's learned not to try and get on my lap while I'm doing my business- one too many screams of outrage when she'd accidentally claw me, fighting for purchase on bare skin... Owwie.
Yeah, I could tell silly stories about the things my goof-ball cats have done over the years... If I ever have kids (unlikely, at my age), I doubt they'd be as interesting as those four-footed menaces.

lol I do agree! I keep asking if I can get another cat, but I have a limit to how many I'm 'allowed' to have by my husband. We'll see if that rule holds ^.^ and I think I have more kitty related scars than I do from foolish childhood things. Then again, I think it's more fun to play with a cat with your hands than a toy.
*cackles* Oh, I know about the scars thing, indeed! I have a nice deep one and inch and a half long from my calico, Gremlin (she has since gone to kitty heaven), who thought my shoulder was the best place to perch. She liked to lurk on top of the fridge, waitng for the unwary, aaaaand... she missed. Poor thing had idea what hit her when she was practically teleported across the room. I treasure that scar, 'cuz I miss my little demon...
Check out
