Headphone audio is my hobby as well, considering I produce music for a living ;]
They're honestly pretty good. They lack a little bit of the really, REALLY deep low-end (we're talking around the 20hz range) some of their higher quality models have, but the general spectrum is really well represented.

Right, you know the skullcandy TI's?
I bought those, tried them on, and there was no base.
NO BASE
Got rid of them, money back and shit...
so i swapped them for some senhiesser and theyre great, but theyre DJ headphones so i cant exactly run around listening to my ipod because the jack will snap off.
So to solve that problem i got some cheap lowriders too, and the soundquality was better on these than the TI's, when the TI's are around £20-£30 more!
What do you think of SKULLCANDY?
i think theyre made just to be a fassion item, its kinda dissapointing with their reputation an' all.

I think Skullcandy headphones are excellent. I owned a set of TIs and they had a wicked amount of bass. I think yours may have had a defective set of drivers or something.
I use my Skullcandy Hesh headphones for all of my mastering as of now and everything comes out clear on pretty much every system I test on.
I find that the Lowriders are the worst of the worst when it comes to Skullcandy, and possibly headphones in general. They're uncomfortable and they sound far too tinny for me.

Those TI's i bought were worse than these lowriders i have.
I didnt buy the lowriders for quality anyways, i bought them so i could afford to sit on them now and then, kick them around in my classes without worrying about them.
These german ones i have are stupidly comfortable, and on the list of selling points on the box, it said
"creates a level of bass so low, humans cant hear it"
I forget the technical number it had with it though, but yeah, these rock :3

Like I said, you probably head a set of defective TIs. It happens.
And yeah, the human hearing range starts at something like 40hz, while almost every set of decent headphones starts around 20-25hz. Nearly any ear-covering headphone you can buy nowadays creates that low level of bass you can't really hear.

lol,
my dad was paying for the postage so he wasnt too chuffed when i wanted them replacing, and he wouldnt let me have another pair of the same type.
So basically i assumed skullcandy are just as shit as that, but youre most likely right :3
Tis i pitty i didnt get them again, they were the ones with the black furr on them! and they had interchangeable furry muff pads too!!

Is that not what hearing is? Detecting the frequency vibrations of air. Most sources list the low range of human hearing to be between 15 and 20Hz: http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2003.....DAmbrose.shtml
Yeah, I have a some Lowriders, and they are kind of uncomfortable... UNTIL YOU WEAR THEM BACKWARDS. Then they're very comfortable. I got them for like $15 (yay cheapish), and I really like the fact that they fold up. o_o I've had big problems with breaking headphones when they're in my backpack.
Dude, I'm seriously at a loss of thoughts. I'm trying to find a good pair of headphones so I can listen to some really loud techno when I draw and not drive my g/f insane. Those look like those SkullCandy headphones.. are they good? :c I'm mostly skeptical cause noone makes good headphones anymore, but my dad had a pair of studio ones back in Illinois and they were great, but quality isn't in products anymore. Anywho, sorry for rambling, but are Skull-Candy headphones good?
