Old Mother Heather

The personification of the kindly old, loving grandmother, Old Mother Heather is the kind of neighbor who would bring you the spare vegetables from her garden. She would know what kind of tea and soup to make when your feeling ill, and she always seems to have the twinkle of youth still shining bright in her aged eyes. Not one to coddle however, her love can turn into harsh scolding when you know you've done something wrong, and she wont hesitate to make you apologize for your misgivings. This old lady also has a secret however, behind her comforting aged visage is truly one of the most magical creatures in all of the realms, the one fairy who has earned the title of Godmother, Guardian of Peace, and wise Counselor. She is the one who maintains the peace of the fairy tale lands, always making sure to point the heroes or heroines in the right direction.

This is the first of two pictures, while not anthropomorphic Old Mother Heather is based off a particular type of caterpillar and I have to wonder if anyone will know which one. In her next form she will be in her undisguised fairy form in which she will be anthropomorphic.
