I'd like to make several tries at this and sort of document what I learn in the process. UxU
I think it's important, too many people don't document the changes that they make when learning something new.
If you guys could critique that would be great!!
two heads are better than one and I'm just /awful/ with design. ;x;
Things I can point out already...
-Too much negative space.
-Probably should have done 4 poses rather than 3 and copying the foal as a quick way to finish up.
-Should draw at a bit larger resolution and resize to desired size rather than drawing on a small canvas.
-Use trinkets/props/other subjects to fill the negative space.
-Plan out a color pallette ahead of time rather than just BSing it at the end. ;w;

this looks really neat!
the deadspace would look better filled with 'props' or any item with an outline and 'mass'
other then that maybe have the drawings spaced in a way that's makes it less obvious where the 'box' of the pattern ends and starts?

I wanted to try making something that was less.. geometric, but wasn't quite sure how.

I probably need to get photoshop to make a repeating tile that will line up correctly. I only use SAI and it's horribly outdated.
