Obviously not complete yet, but Ill shade this after I get my commissions up to date.
An Australian Billat (Bilby , Numbat and magpie mix) Relaxes while the sun rises before setting off to forage for small insects and bulbs.
Billats are around the size of a natural Bilby (small cat) , and are a egg laying mammal. They typically walk on their hind legs, and can be considered a more civalised species as the are able to use their hands for building and construction and art.
They prefer very simple clothing if any due to their feathered bodies, and unlike Bilby's and numbats detest being below the ground.

Wow! What a character concept! Crazy combination yet stunning in the way you've combined them.. the face is gorgeous, and I love that neck ruff. Australian animals are awesome!
And on the topic of magpie song...up the street I always heard a strange bird (which I thought was some sort of crazy parrot) most times I walked passed. It had the strangest range of calls, then the other day when I heard it again, I walked behind the bushes by the fence to see what it was (because I was stumped!) and there sitting no more than 2 feet away from me was a beautiful magpie. I figure he must have been hand-raised or something which was why he was so tame to be so close and why he had his song a little mixed up, sounds which I thought a magpie couldn't actually make! I was amazed.
