A nice photo of my baby - well, he's not a baby anymore. :) I like him a lot. Axolotl are wonderful pets. I really love to look at them. And it seems they recognize me in front of the tank and start acting like little clowns to cheer me up.
I know they are blunt stupid. :p
But who cares?
I love them anyways. ^_^
Please note me if you like to use this photo for anything. Please give me credit if you do. I am fine with somebody using it, but I'd like to be notified and asked for the right of using it in advance.
You can have a version without the watermark if I give you permission. I am not a fan of watermarks anyway. So it's nearly invisible anyways. :p
Tsatho and Nyar are tybalt_the_friesian's and my sweethearts.

I can only recommend it. :) I must admit, Tsatho is one of the cutest Axolotl I ever saw! I am quite proud to have him. His lineage is nearly pure... his mother came from a zoo and was the daughter of an Axolotl caught in Mexico, I guess.
If you like them, you should get some again. :) I don't want to miss their calming presence.

they are very cute and easy to handle. You just have to look at wehat you puz into te water and what not. You mustn't put any chemicals into the water no matter how hard people try to convince you it was the right thing to do. Fish can handle water-refreshing chemicals of algea eating chemicals but Axolotl do NOT. notnotnotnot! And you mustn't put rotting material nor plastic into it. :) Everything else is fine. :)

*laughs* That's amazing! I found your gallery and the axolotl pic BEFORe I realized you had faved mine and commented here. :> *huggs you* They are adorable pets and I love them a lot. They aren't exopensive to have, just to get. XD The aquarium cost me a full 400 bucks with everything in it including the little buggers. But I have them for two years now and I haven't spent a single buck on them in this time. :) They are cute and easy to handle if you bow to a few rules. I don't want to be without my cuteys anymore.

Now I really must get couple of those! I was first planning to take dog or cat when I move to my own apartment, but both of them can't stay alone when they're babies...but axolotls can! :D I've read that they need quite cold water to live in and tap water is harmful to them. :P

I am not used to the Fahrenheit-system in the USA, but they need a temperature of about 15-maximum 25° degree to be fine, yes. But I bought a fan to cool the water in the summer and you can place bottles with frozen water in them into the water to cool it down, too. Tap water in Germany, well it depends. They like 'hard' water, with a lot of chalk in it. I have a chalk stone in my tank.
