Histories of the western kingdoms.
The Angel Knights were founded in 344 AF, as one of many divisions of the Swan Knights. A specialty corps meant for aerial combat. The first angel flight packs were developed by the legendary engineer Ser Philip the Builder, who was also the first human to use non-magical flight.
Usually equipped with a pair of long sabers, the mechanical process used to ignite and funnel the projected air greatly improved the efficiency of the magical super-heating process. Essentially removing the need for fuel. Dashing and quick of wit, they deal with the kingdom's areal threats and are an early strike force against northern barbarians and orcish hordes.
As a group the Angel Knights are somewhat sexually insular, preferring to swap stories with their fellow knights rather than physical pleasure. Unlike others they know the joy of flight and not many can keep up with someone who makes love among the clouds.
