Out of the team of six, Airin is me (I see myself as her), but each of this traveling group represents something about me. Airin represents happiness, truth, kindness, and the power to overcome darkness (depression, anxiety).

Her blackened wing is very representative. Her wing used to be pristine like the other, but during a battle, she had her wing torn, and she fell to the earth. Stricken with grief, the torn wing started to turn black with corruption. This is where Kahala found her. He was the one who helped her get back on her feet, and helped her heal. Eventually, Airin's wing grew back, but the blackness remained as a scar, and a reminder that she was able to keep fighting, even when the darkness tried to take hold.
