Lmfao. That would be cute. But a tube is a MOSFET with a pilot light!
They are dropper resistors. They have to drop the voltage for each stage of the amplifier a fair amount and also prevent current from looping around each stage since it feeds multiple sections. I also purposefully over-rated most of them so I put in 5W where 1 or 2 would have sufficed. The physical size of the 1W through 5W turned out to be the same more or less though xD

Although aesthetically true, when you max out the waveform on tubes, unlike MOSFETs that clip at their full gain, tubes have a soft clamp to their wave form when maxed out, I have a feeling it has to do with some sort of capacitance on the gate.
You could also try with a relay though, if you want to hear magnetic clicks xD

Thanks! It was a long process but was well worth it. I wanted to do turret style but was shown some grommet style boards by a friend of mine who showed me a lot of amps he built, and subsequently got me into amp building. He made a fair point that grommet style boards are easier to mod and service.
