This was a commissioned piece of Toothless in a fanfic https://www.fanfiction.net/s/700485.....Learning-Curve
wirewolf Made the original commission as a gift for
Anhedral
Anyhow, a few months later and I got my shit together well enough to bust right through this... with ridiculous interruptions by the holiday sadly...
Anyhow, Toothless!
Obviously the original character is by DreamWorks, and the fanfic is by Anhedral. This is watercolor and a smattering of gouache.
I am always readily available for commissions, email me malloytattoos @ gmail.com

This is spectacular! I'm really happy with the job you did on this! I'm sure Anhedral will love it too. You really captured the scene the way I imagined it when I read it.
And for anyone who wants to see his stuff:
anhedral He writes great stories and has some nice pictures, although his pics are on his DA page. http://anhedral.deviantart.com/
Thanks again for the outstanding work!

Aw, you already know that I really, really like what you've done with this! You've nailed the sense of remoteness and high altitude dead on, as well as the dragon's exuberance and elation.
I love the complexity with which you've rendered the wing. It reminds me a lot of pterosaur wings, where all the fossil evidence suggests they were complex, muscular organs rather than simple flaps of skin. I imagine a dragon's wing membranes would be similar, and that's exactly what you depict here.
Beautiful, emotional work Slush... thank you again so much for all your work on this!
