Is it that type of escape game where you click on objects, put it in an inventory, see how they interact with the environment or with other objects, and maybe some puzzles here and there?

Not really, no. There are some puzzles, but Bastard Bonds is heavy on tactical combat, and if you make a mistake, the game isn't shy about killing your characters to remind you to pay attention.

I know a lot will love it captain!! Coop and me have had so much fun and enjoyed. You did a great job and should be happy with the way it turned out.

Gotta say, after looking into this game I am heavily interested in it! Love the character creation/customization in particular, so many options and really open ended looking. Also your attack/spell graphics are on point!

I have no way to test mac development, so I can't officially support it. People have had success with running my previous games in "wine" but I haven't had any reports regarding Bastard Bonds in that regard yet.

But why not a sex game? Really? There are so few of them, especially with gay content. And there are tons of regular games of hundreds genres. Your art is great and the music is great. But having limited time, I would rather play new Witcher instead of vanilla indie game... Though... If it's not going to have an adult content, you can expect to publish it on Steam or iOS and make good money. Anyways, it's just sad that you don't make adult games as you used to.

Believe it or not, a lot of game developers, especially indie developers, don't want to be restricted in what they make and put out there. Some would love to stretch their artistic reach and branch out into new areas of gaming. I don't know what GerBear's motive for making this kind of game was, and I won't sit here and pretend to speak for him, but he shouldn't have to stick to one type of game if he doesn't want to. If the game it's self doesn't interest you, then that's fine. It's your opinion and your money after all, do what you want with it. But for the love of god, just let the man make the games he wants to make. Besides, if lack of fan service is an issue for you I'm pretty sure GerBear mentioned on his Tumblr page that every enemy can be recruited and has a base nude sprite. So if you wanted to, you could have an army of nudist men running around the island causing chaos and pretend they're fucking in the woods or something, I don't fucking know.

That said, while I have you here, GerBear did also mention on his Tumblr page that he would like to go back to doing more Ero games down the road since he enjoys making them. So by all means he'll be going back to those kinds of games sooner rather than later, just let him do what he wants in the world of gaming okay.

I'm sure the gameplay will be lovely, the story, it seems to be a horror genre, no? People fleeing from those who consume the flesh of man, yes, I sense such wonderful terror from it. I know there's no sex, but is there any wonderful big-man on big-man romance?

Well the whole game doesn't centre around the sahaguin, just Bato's scenario. I wouldn't necessarily say that it's a horror game either, though I didn't pull any punches with making some of the enemies really gruesome. There are Mohrgs that entangle you in their flailing intenstines, witches who wear the hollowed-out skins of young, beautiful girls, and a creature called the "Aesthedra" that I've been told is a special brand of nightmare fuel.

Also, I didn't say there was no sex. I said that it wasn't a sex game. When sex occurs, it is not explicit, but it does occur, and it is occasionally discussed. And yes, often it's between men. It's a prison, remember.

Wait, wasn't Bato one of the characters in Fantasy Football Locker Stalker? Ya know... Now that I compare images, the two look pretty much exactly alike, even down to their chest hair patterns. Does this mean we'll see other characters from your past works in here as well? Maybe Grant making a guest appearance?

There will be a few, but there is no continuity. Think of it like the same actors appearing in different films.

I figured as much. Especially since FFLS takes place in a more real world setting without all the monsters and orcs that are present in Bastard Bonds. Still, it'll be nice to see and recruit familiar faces!
