Sometimes you just savor the quiet moments. Especially when you're Alma.... though she does love blowing stuff up so maybe it is just rest in between her throwing lasers and explosives around.
I wanted to end last year with a really really great picture, but I couldn't finish it in time, so instead I went and just put more work into it and decided to just have it be my first thing of the new year. I started this out as just a refinement of the Honest Mistake, Alma's gunboat/smuggling ship. Honestly the old design was getting a bit dated and I wasn't a fan of a few elements... so I streamlined the look a bit and redid a lot of the details. She shares the same general shape and design, just updated.
I wasn't sure what to do with the ship after I finished it, but eventually I settled on a landing pad. Seemed fitting.

Never commented for some reason but the detail on this one is just fantastic, full of bits that bring this thing to life, some modules whose function you can guess and many more you can barely begin to. I love the little Alma in the frame too, it brings a lifelike quality to the picture, along with a tone of momentary serenity and a practical sense of scale. Really cool man.

This one... yeah I really wanted to make something I could be proud of here honestly, I just wanted to commit and get something done to break in the new year...well.... finish the old year but timing issues, alas. Yeah the Alma seems to be a well liked addition, I figured it would add more life to the scene.
