A little background on the character...  munesol and  rikmach came up with an RP theme in which Rouge the Bat had two daughters, one by each of the two main men in her life: Knuckles, and Shadow. Neither one of the girls knew the other, or knew that their mother had been sleeping with the other's father.

Then it turned silly.

The joke got expanded to give Rouge a child by every single member of the Sonic cast... including the girls. Ember here is the daughter of Rouge and Blaze; thoughts of Blaze fathering a child were largely inspired by  sukebepanda's art of a herm Blaze. She inherited her father's pyrokinesis, though not the responsibility for the Sol Emeralds - that fell to her half-brother Ash, son of Big and Blaze.

A herm version of Ember is used in an RPG based on  amenshawn's Children of the Ancients, but this is her original female incarnation.
