I was almost overwhelmed when  Wirewolf offered to commission a picture for me, to be painted by the very talented  SlushPuppy! I can't really describe how excited and grateful this made me feel!

Once I'd got my giddyness back under control, I had to sit down and think of a subject for the artist to go with. In the end I offered a couple of choices, and this one found its way to the top of the pile. It's Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon, as depicted in the final chapter of my fanfic Learning Curve. The picture depicts a rite of passage for the young dragon. It's an endurance test during which he has to fly into the very high atmosphere until ice forms on the leading edges of his wings.
