I did another doodle today, And again it took me out of my artistic comfort zone!
This time we have Princess Sally Acorn along with her assistant, Nicole! At least this is how they looked back in the 90s.
If you don't know these two, then I feel sorry for you, because Sally is freakin' awesome!
To be honest, I kinda like Bunnie Rabbot more, but felt like drawing Sally. Probably because Bunnie would be a bit more difficult to draw ^^;
I did reference a pic of Sally like I did with my previous doodle, but this time I made up the pose myself! ^^
I'm thinking of trying out the 'Iron Artist' challenge, where I try to make a doodle or drawing every day for a certain number of days in a row (usually 100), though some days, I may try inking and coloring a doodle instead of drawing a new one, as to develop my inking and traditional coloring skills as well.
It is obvious that several of those doodles for me will be ponies, but I would like to try keep stepping out of my artistic comfort zone for these doodles, so I can actually get some real improvement out of it. And in addition to homing my skills, I may be able to make drawing daily a habit! That is, if I can stick to it. Fortunately, for some reason, it seems to be easier to draw doodles in my mini sketchbook compared to the large one. Maybe because the bigger pages seem a bit more daunting, that I have to draw much more in order to fill just one page. Maybe the little sketchbook makes me feel like I ab accomplishing more due to filling more pages? That's probably it, but if it gets me to draw more, then hey, what the heck?
Anyway, I think that's it for now. Tell me who your favorite Sonic character is, and if you read the comics or watched the cartoons!

I read a couple of the comics, and saw a couple of episodes of the TV shows. Mainly I played the games though. My favourite being Sonic 3 And Knuckles with the two cartridges combined. I also really enjoyed Sonic Adventure 1 & 2.
As for favourite character, I have a bit of a thing for Amy Rose. And Rouge the Bat, and Sally Acorn... basically all the female sonic characters..... But mostly Amy. She's too adorable.

I've actually never played either of the Sonic Adventure games, probably because I never got the console they were for (dreamcast I think).
I haven't gotten far in the comics, I'm still way back at comic #79. I gotta get more of the archive books, so I can get caught up to the current sonic comics. And I got all of Sonic SatAM series on DVD, and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog! ^^
Amy kinda annoys me to be honest, and I never got too attached to Rouge... Not sure why. Maybe because she just didn't have enough character development in the games I've played. Or perhaps it's just that I grew up with Sonic SatAM, and I have a strong bond with all the characters in that cartoon?

The sonic adventure games were good in their time, but they haven't aged well. Sonic Adventure 2 is the less terrible one though. They were originally for Dreamcast, but came to Gamecube, and eventually PC through Steam.
If you're a fan of the 2D sonic games though, check out Freedom Planet on steam. It's a sonic inspired 2D platformer, with adorable characters.
I can definitely see how Amy can come off as annoying. She probably annoyed me when she was first introduced, but she grew on me over the years. The comic and TV show characters never really had much of a chance to get my attention though. I'm a gamer first, and a comic/TV/Anime/Manga nerd second.
