This is my 'sona Auric in his feral winged canine form, which can be called a "simuran", drawn by MooiLeven
The word "simuran" can trace its roots back to old Slavic pagan myths (and possibly all the way back to the ancient Persian Simurgh dog-bird from the Sassaniad empire), but in modern use in Russia, Ukraine and other Slavic countries it is now a word to describe a winged wolf or dog, or a canine gryphon-like creature with a canine head rather than a bird head. The anthropomorphic art community really needed a word to describe a winged wolf, and "simuran" seems to be a very good choice and a nice nod to old Slavic legends.
The original posting (with two pictures combined and a lighter background) is over here: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/17492927/ I tweaked the background to be black, so take a look at the original if you want to see his wings more clearly.
