Cool work! I'm thinking of getting a pet ferret... I heard they are crazy little buggers.

Please do a lot of research before you commit to getting one. They aren't the easiest pets. Trust me.

Oh yeah, I read a lot and heard they were tough. Especially their caches of 'goodies,' ferret proofing everything, stinkbombs... They still look fun though!

I think of it as steam locomotives since I am a railfan; steam locos take a CRAPLOAD of servicing. Why do they still have them out there? Because of the love. I love the steam, the smoke, the gritty work, the chuffing, the whistles, the roar of the firebox, the hissing of the injectors... ahh.

Well, I don't mean their behaviors.
I mean the many deadly and expensive to treat illnesses they are prone to.
Really, a friend of mine just spent about $630 on surgery for her ferret, since his tooth was rotten and needed to be removed.
That's one of the cheaper bills I have seen too.
So really. Do lots and lots of research and please save up some money.

Definitely. I read about the illnesses too. Still, I'm not even sure if I'll get a pet... I am more likely to get a cat, but that is waaaay in the future. But ferrets are still a possibility. Right now I'm focusing on college. Stupid college >:(
