Another model coming soon, and nearing completion. This is a 1/32 Revell Bf-109G-10 marked up as a 109 of the Independent State of Croatia, the fascist puppet state of Nazi Germany in World War II. The Croatians in the Balkan front flew a variety of 109's, starting with the E-4's, and working their way up through the G-6's, G-10's, and G-14's.
This scheme reflects a late model Bf-109G-10 that was used in the closing months of WWII when many of Croatia's pilots, seeing the writing was on the wall began to defect with their 109's to the Partisans or the United States. This particular scheme is based off a photo of a defecting 109G-10 which landed in Allied Italy in April 1945. By this late state of the war, the defense identification colors were a yellow cowling ring and a yellow rudder.
