A happy (belated) New Year to everyone! I'd like to start the year with a newly made track: Land of the Rising Sun. Loosely based on traditional Japanese music, combined with some 'Epic' score, this amazingly large track (spanning over 10 minutes) has consumed most of my free time during the christmas holidays!
I saw this as an opportunity to test out the following sample libraries:
- Embertone Shire Whistle
- Spitfire Audio Andy Findon Kitbag
- ISW Koto Nation
The track consists of 4 parts:
Prelude - An introduction to the land of the rising sun, in which a story unfolds of a warrior of the old times, whose only purpose is to dwell through the valley on their quest to fight to the death and ascend. They don't need or want any sort of alliance, waiting for one to pass along who is able to surpass them.
Overview - Look over a field of death and destruction, in which blood has been shed and steel has clashed in the countless wars, where warriors with fire in their hearts stand amidst the corpses of fallen allies and foes, completely unphased by death. As motives from the prelude echo through a bed of strings, like the wind blows through the trees that remain in the barren field, you get to witness the beginning of yet another war.
Meditation - A moment of tranquility brings your body and mind to rest, allowing you to get back to your senses after the long fight. Not afraid of future, nor haunted by their past, reminiscences and foreshadowing of motives pass through a chaotic mantra.
Progression - An energetic finale, celebrating victory and the art of war through a variety of stories that have been passed through generations and generations - stories of glory and legendary wars, concludes our journey through the land of the rising sun. Our hero, the warrior, resides in the valley, still waiting for that one day to come.
I hope you'll enjoy!
