This was drawn last year and colored a while back. Never uploaded it. Thought I'd finish some more, but I don't know now. I was considering coloring in the pixies and a background, but it's very taxing on my prismacolor pencils, time, and patience. Especially since I'm probably just going to end up redoing it in CG and scraping this picture anyway.
This is Salina, my winged unicorn of Imagination. Mother of these three: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1876091/
Yes, I know she isn't a traditional-looking unicorn as in the sense of her daughters, but she's a unicorn of imagination, and as such, has no restrictions. Why imagination? Well, because she was the second imaginary friend I ever remember having, and I made her at the age of 6. Obviously, you can tell I was fond of pink. XD But she's been sort of the guardian of my imagination since then. I merely redesigned her and sort of brought her back into the light recently within the past few years. She may not be that original, but to me she's an important symbol of my childhood and all that it stands for.
This was a scene portraying a story she once told me about how she got her gold, shooting star pendant. It's similar to her daughters', boosting her magic, but she recieved it from a certain colony of pixies. The pixies, in fact, were the ones who raised Peter Pan and gave Salina the pendant as a token of thanks and friendship as she helped them raise the elf infant. (Creepily enough, I found out later there's a VERY similar story called 'The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus'. I swear I knew nothing about that before hand, unless it was subconcious!)
This was a mere illustration of one scene in the story, and I hope I can finish more another time. Basically, Peter grows, and he hates being so much bigger than all the pixies because he can't play with them properly.
According to Disney, 'when a star is born, it has the power to make a wish come true'. Starlight was born. Salina gave the boy a wish. Peter wished to never grow up, granting him the island of Neverland within the confines of Starlight's power. Thus, Neverland is a star - Second Star to the Right, in fact. However, Starlight never really forgave Salina for granting the boy the wish just like that.
