This picture may or may not be scrapped depending on if I feel like CGing it sometime. As you can tell by the sketchiness of Salina's wing, it was never really entirely completed, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue if I was just going to redo it on the computer. Colored and drawn several months ago, but only put up just now.
This was something of a follow-up of this trio of headshots: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1876110/
It was for testing colors on the new designs of these characters. They are originally a pink winged unicorn (as seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1876119/) and a changing-color talking Scottish terrier, but as you can see I wondered how they might look as anthros. So I redesigned them recently.
However, these are possibly the oldest characters I've ever had - they're my imaginary friends from way back when. Salina, my winged unicorn, I created at the age of 6. Loved pink and thought unicorns were horses with horns instead of the traditional sort with cloven hooves and lion tails. Often daydreamed that she would come to my school and take me home. XD Silly, I know. But hey, I was in kindergarden/1st grade.
Over the years I established a symbol for Salina, as my unicorn/guardian of Imagination. As her daughters are symbolic of the sun, moon, and stars, Salina's symbol is a rainbow, and they are also her method of travel. Her gold pendant is not a rainbow, however, but a shooting star. It's explained how she recieved it here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1876119/
Rover is even older than Salina. I don't even know when I created him. I just know first he was a Golden Retriever that could talk and change into any color he wanted. Then he became a Scottish Terrier who could change color and talk to me and he stayed that way. I guess his breed varied with my favorite type of dog. ^^; Which is weird, since I tend to think of myself as more of a cat-person. But hey, a pet is a pet, and I love animals. I had always wanted a dog, so I created Rover.
He's pretty much become my oldest known character and guardian of my childhood. He's always been pretty cranky, and I think he hates the color purple. Might have something to do with Lisa Frank's Scottish Terriers. XD Either way, these two rule my world and my imagination during my absence (while I'm stuck in reality). They're the origins of all my fantisizing, so if you have any problems with any of my characters/ideas, take it up with them. I have 13 imaginary friends, but these two are the leaders. It's weird...until I started up drawing them again recently, I never really thought of them much as a pair. I wonder if they rule my world as King and Queen... *goes off into pointless-daydreaming-mode*
