luck?..lol...I stood out their for 20 minutes using a 10 second shutter speed over and over again to capture that.....what you might not have guessed either is that it never rained at my house that night.....and I was using 30x zoom so it wasn't as close as it looked either.....ssshhhh! don't tell
I love to watch them too...we live on a high hill here so getting pictures like this is a little easier and we often get very good lightening displays here. The funny thing is that unless you come to my house via back roads you would never know we were even on hill because the hill is so gradual on the highway.
