Needing to make myself a few fundraisers to get my ass out of where I am and on the road to (hopefully) my new home. Just gotta secure funds for a car as well as other stuffs.

Sales are typically very slow. Its more so the generality of 'Luxury item, no practical use'. They as with most jewelry are just special pretty things to have/stare at. The stone sales themselves do not exactly pay the bills or much, as I rely on the seldom but juicy commission. Still having to sink a bunch of cash into the final few tools I could use, but once my toolbench is complete, I should be totally fine.

Also does not help that my current housing situation really screws with my availability. I cannot upload 24/7 or advertise for sales with where I'm at. I hope that will be changing come around March.

work bench? are you saying you could make custom items? Like, a jeweled pocketwatch, bracelets, or rings?

Though in the case of a pocketwatch.... I'd need to find the actual working mechanisms and a case that I could modify or add onto. I am a metalsmith, but I'm certainly no watchmaker or engineer as far as 100% creating a custom pocketwatch. Bracelets, rings, pendants, statues/statuettes, collars, tiaras.... If its practical and can be dreamed of, I can make it.

What's the most complex thing you've ever made

Not a bunch yet. Have yet to decide when, what, and if I wanna make myself something. Past while whenever I can get to the location in which has my tools currently, I've just been prepping stock work mostly, pouring and sawing ingots, rolling silver into usable pieces.

Still working on Tide's commission as well. Still need to find him a perfectly matching amethyst to go with his ruby.

He's getting a collar/torque thingy. Essentially a collar, leather band with two silver plates that can slide to tighten/loosen, one of the plates having a pear cut ruby, the other a pear cut amethyst.

that's pretty neat. How long have you been working on this special collar/choker?

He's had it ordered for a while. I havent spent many hours on it yet as for a while I needed a more sensitive/finer torch for soldering, and with my family dicking me around... that hasnt helped much either. My tool kit is a good 40 miles from me, as my current 'bench' is stored in Chicago at my dad's heating and air conditioning shop, as my folks do not want the tools and stuffs here as they are trying to sell this house. There's more to it, but I dont wanna sound like Im rambling.

Simply for now... Just waiting until Im no longer trapped, get out of here, and make stuffs around the clock some where that has even a fraction less stress and dysfunction compared to here. Suppose this ended up being longer and more off track than anything... Just woke up to the usual being talked down to and being rushed out of the house.

Maybe it is time to make a public journal explaining what the fuck is really going on with my end...
